Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
Canadian Experience Class is one of the economic immigration programs of Canada managed under the Express Entry system. CEC is a pass-fail system where there is no minimum point threshold an applicant has to meet to be eligible. You only have to meet the minimum requirements to qualify for the program. But it must be remembered that CEC is managed under the Express Entry system, and only those with the best qualifications are selected for permanent residence in Canada under Express Entry.
Minimum requirements to apply under the CEC program
- One year of either full time or equivalent part-time skilled employment in Canada on a valid work permit
- The candidate must have obtained the work experience within the last three years of submitting the initial application
- Language proficiency of basic or moderate level in English or French, depending on the skill level of your job position
Documents required
- Results of the approved language test
- Employment Reference Letters
- Identity and civil status documents
- ECA certificate for non-Canadian education
- Experience letter for foreign work experience
