SKILLS IMMIGRATION STREAM

The Skills Immigration Stream is for candidates with the skills, experience, and qualifications needed by the employers in British Columbia.

Skilled Worker Category: This category is aligned with the federal Express Entry system. For eligibility, you must be a skilled worker, have a valid job offer from an eligible British Columbia employer and willingness to live and work in the province.

Healthcare Professional category: Aligned with the federal Express Entry system, the healthcare professional category requires the candidate to be a physician, nurse, psychiatric nurse, or allied health professional. They also need a valid job offer from an eligible employer in British Columbia.

International Graduate category: The Express Entry-aligned International Graduate category is for international students who have graduated from a Canadian university or college in the past two years. They must also have a valid job offer from an eligible British Columbia employer.

International post-graduate category: This Express Entry-aligned category requires that the candidate must have graduated from a post-secondary institution in British Columbia recently. They must hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in the natural, applied, or health sciences.

ENTRY LEVEL AND SEMI-SKILLED WORKER CATEGORY

This category is for candidates working in certain entry-level or semi-skilled positions in tourism/hospitality, food processing, or long-haul trucking. Those who are in an entry-level or semi-skilled position living and working in the Northeast Development Region on BC are also eligible to apply under this category.

ENTREPRENEUR IMMIGRATION STREAM

Business people who wish to start a business in British Columbia and become permanent residents in the country can apply under this pathway.

ENTREPRENEUR CATEGORY

To be eligible in this category, the candidate must be a senior manager or business owner planning to invest funds in the proposed business in British Columbia.

STRATEGIC PROJECTS CATEGORY

You can apply under this category if you are one of the five managerial, professional or technical staff members of a foreign-controlled company, which has set up an operation in BC. You must also have to be nominated by your company.

OTHER

BC PNP TECH PILOT

To be eligible, you must have a valid job offer from a BC employer in one of the in-demand occupations of the province.
