Canada Holds First Canadian Experience Class Draw of July 2026, Issuing 2,000 Invitations

On 7 July 2026, the first Canadian Experience Class (CEC) Express Entry draw of July 2026 was conducted, and 2000 candidates were invited to apply for permanent residence. Candidates who had a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 517 and who had created their Express Entry profile by 5:49 p.m. UTC on December 29, 2025, were eligible for the draw.

CEC candidates are temporary residents who have gained skilled work experience in Canada. This makes them well-positioned to transition to permanent residence and also meet the labour market demands of the country.

In 2026, so far, IRCC has issued more than 91,000 Invitations to Apply through various Express Entry categories, with the Canadian Experience Class receiving the largest share of invitations among the draw types. The latest draw brings the total number of CEC invitations issued this year to 43,250. This indicates the importance given to retaining skilled talent already contributing to Canada’s economy.
