Canada Issues 1,000 ITAs in Healthcare Category Express Entry Draw

The IRCC third draw December 2025 and the first category-based IRCC Express Entry draw December 2025 resulted in 1,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to candidates in Healthcare and Social Services occupations category. The Canada PR Express Entry latest draw, which was held on December 11, 2025, had an Express Entry CRS cut-off score of 476, and the candidates were to submit their profile before 7:44 a.m. UTC on November 26, 2025. 

The draw highlights IRCC’s (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) focus on addressing the labour shortages in the critical labour category. The continuous targeted draw in the Healthcare and Social Services occupation category indicates that healthcare professionals remain a priority in Canada even with the moderate increase in the CRS score threshold in comparison to that of the draw conducted in November.

Through the Express Entry system, 106,000 ITAs have been issued in 2025 to date. This draw succeeds the previous large draws of the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), which was conducted on December 10 which issued 6,000 ITAs; the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on December 8, which issued 1,123 ITAs; and the French-language proficiency draw on November 28, with 6,000 ITAs issued. So far in 2025, in total, 6 draws have been conducted in the Healthcare and Social Services Express Entry priority occupation category, and 13,500 ITAs have been issued. The most number of draws conducted in 2025 is in the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) (22 draws), and the largest number of ITAs issued to date is in the French-language proficiency draw (42,000 ITAs issued).
