Quebec Skilled Worker Program Invites Candidates Across Four PSTQ Streams

Quebec has conducted another major draw under the Skilled Worker Selection Program (Programme de sélection des travailleurs qualifiés - PSTQ). 2,549 invitations to apply for permanent selection have been issued through the draw, with invitations sent across all four PSTQ streams. The draw was held on June 4th 2026.

The Stream 1 for highly qualified and specialized workers received the largest number of invitations, a total of 1,094. The Stream 1 candidates included those falling under the TEER 0, 1, or 2 occupations, living in Quebec, and with relevant work experience in Quebec. The Stream 2 targeted candidates with intermediate and manual skills, falling under TEER 3, 4, and 5 categories, living in Quebec with relevant work experience. They received 756 invitations. Stream 3 issued 677 invitations to candidates in regulated professions and residing in Quebec. Stream 4, issued 22 invitations for exceptional talent with relevant work experience.

The draw was conducted through Quebec’s Arrima system, which ranks candidates based on factors such as occupation, work experience, education, French-language proficiency, and labour market priorities.

As the selection criteria can change for each draw, to increase the chance of receiving an invitation in future selection rounds, candidates have to maintain a competitive profile.
