On 25th March 2026, Ontario held new rounds of selections through the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). The five new OINP draws issued 1,112 invitations to apply for permanent residence across multiple targeted streams.
The draws which were region-specific, issued invitations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Southwestern Ontario, Central Ontario (excl. GTA), Eastern Ontario, and Northern Ontario. The highest number of invitations (431) went to the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). The draws focused on candidates who held valid job offers and had profiles that aligned with Ontario’s labour market needs.
The different streams by which the candidates qualified for the draws were the Foreign Worker Stream, the International Student Stream, and the In-Demand Skills Stream. The minimum cut-off score for the draws differed by the regions and the streams.
The new draws follow the earlier rounds held on 18th March, which included selections for Master’s and PhD graduates, marking a significant return of invitations for candidates with advanced degree. The recent draws indicate the opportunities for skilled workers and international graduates who are seeking long-term settlement in Canada’s most populous province.
