Quebec has invited 790 candidates to apply for permanent selection under the province’s Skilled Worker Selection Program (PSTQ). The August 27, 2026 selection round issued invitations distributed across all four PSTQ streams, with the largest share going to candidates in intermediate and manual occupations under Stream 2.
Stream 1 issued 87 invitations, while Stream 2 accounted for 324. Another 109 invitations went to candidates in regulated professions under Stream 3, and 21 were issued under Stream 4 for exceptional talent.
Selected candidates can submit a complete application for a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ), which is required before applying to the federal government for permanent residence in Quebec. This was Quebec’s eighth PSTQ selection round of 2026.
