In the draw conducted by British Columbia on 28th July, 10 entrepreneurs have been invited to apply for provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence. The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) conducted the draw under the Entrepreneur Immigration – Base Stream. Candidates were required to have a minimum registration score of 117 points to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
The base stream of the BCPNP is for experienced entrepreneurs who want to establish a new business or purchase and expand an existing one in British Columbia. Successful applicants can afterwards pursue permanent residence after meeting provincial and federal requirements.
For the Base Stream, minimum scores in 2026 have ranged from 115 to 121 points. Applicants generally need at least $600,000 in personal net worth and must make a minimum eligible investment of $200,000 in the proposed business.
The province has conducted a total of 13 Entrepreneur Immigration selection rounds in 2026, including eight under the Base Stream and five under the Regional Stream. In 2026, so far the province has issued at least 88 invitations through its entrepreneur-focused immigration category, including selections under both the Base and Regional streams.
