Nova Scotia Introduces New Immigration Application Fees

Nova Scotia is introducing new application fees for its Provincial Nominee Program (NSNP). The new fees will be effective from September 1, 2026. Applicants selected under the Skilled Worker, Nova Scotia Graduate and Nova Scotia Express Entry streams will have to pay an application fee of $1,000. Entrepreneur applicants will have to pay $2,000, depending on their pathway.

The fees apply only to candidates selected from the Expression of Interest (EOI) pool on or after September 1. Worker-stream applicants must pay within seven days of selection. Entrepreneur applicants have longer deadlines depending on their pathway. The fees are non-refundable, and there is still no charge to submit an EOI. Nova Scotia has stated that the move is intended to manage demand, which continues to exceed the province’s annual nomination allocation
