Canada Invites Provincial Nominees for Permanent Residence

Canada has issued 442 invitations to apply (ITAs) for permanent residence through the Express Entry Provincial Nominee Program draw. This draw required candidates to have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 760 and to have created their Express Entry profile before August 7 to be considered for the draw.

Provincial nominees receive 600 additional CRS points after obtaining a nomination, which increases their chances of receiving an invitation for permanent residence.
The draw, which was held on 17th August, was the 16th PNP-specific Express Entry draw of 2026. It brings the total number of invitations issued through PNP draws this year to 7,399.

The latest results point towards the continued importance of provincial nominations for candidates seeking Canadian permanent residence.
