Quebec Invites 519 Workers Through PSTQ

Quebec has invited 519 foreign workers to apply for permanent selection through the province’s Skilled Worker Selection Program (PSTQ). The invitations were issued on September 24, marking Quebec’s ninth PSTQ selection round of 2026.

The latest draw covered all four PSTQ streams, with the largest share going to workers in intermediate and manual occupations. A total of 316 invitations were issued under Stream 2, while Stream 1 received 86 invitations and Stream 3 issued 110. Seven additional invitations went to candidates with exceptional talent.

Successful candidates can proceed toward obtaining a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) and subsequently apply for Canadian permanent residence.

Quebec is currently adjusting its PSTQ selection strategy while the Quebec Experience Program (PEQ) remains open. From November 2026, PSTQ invitation volumes are expected to be revised based on PEQ applications and the province’s 2026–2029 immigration targets.
