Canada conducted its first Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) Express Entry draw of August 2026 on August 4, inviting 507 candidates to apply for permanent residence. To qualify, candidates were required to have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 768. Their Express Entry profiles had to have been submitted before 3:58 p.m. UTC on May 15, 2026.
This was the 15th PNP-specific Express Entry draw of 2026. The total number of ITAs issued through PNP draws this year is 6,957
A provincial nomination can strengthen an Express Entry profile by providing additional CRS points and also improving a candidate’s chances of receiving an ITA.
