British Columbia Invites 602 Candidates for Provincial Nomination

British Columbia has issued 602 invitations to apply for provincial nomination in its latest Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) draw held on August 20, 2026. The selection targeted high-earning and high-scoring candidates under the province’s “innovate” objective, which supports skilled workers across various occupations and sectors.

Nearly 60% of the invitations went to high-earning candidates whose wages or salaries were linked to TEER 0–3 job offers. The draw was the BCPNP’s 20th selection round of 2026 and its largest so far this year.

The latest draw follows British Columbia’s announcement of 1,000 additional nomination spaces, increasing its total allocation for 2026 to 6,254 nominations. The additional spaces are expected to support healthcare, construction and high-economic-impact candidates seeking permanent residence in Canada.
