Alberta Invites 1,167 Immigration Candidates in Latest AAIP Draws

More than 1,100 candidates have been invited to apply for provincial nomination by the Government of Alberta through the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP). The invitations targeted candidates in healthcare, law enforcement, and technology, and those intending to settle in rural Alberta were also prioritized.

The province has conducted six draws between 3 July 2026 and 15 July 2026 and issued at least 1,167 invitations across multiple pathways. The stream/pathways were

  1. Alberta Opportunity Stream (AOS) – 833 invitations (Minimum score: 53)
  2. Dedicated Health Care Pathway – Non-Express Entry – 51 invitations (Minimum score: 52)
  3. Alberta Express Entry Stream – Law Enforcement Pathway – Fewer than 10 invitations (Minimum score: 52)
  4. Alberta Express Entry Stream – Accelerated Tech Pathway – 149 invitations (Minimum score: 55)
  5. Rural Renewal Stream – 42 invitations (Minimum score: 55)
  6. Dedicated Health Care Pathway – Express Entry – 92 invitations (Minimum score: 55)

The draws indicate the efforts taken by the province to address the labour shortages in the province and also to select candidates who can support the economic growth.

The targeted draws demonstrate Alberta's ongoing efforts to recruit talent in high-demand occupations. The latest round of invitations is expected to provide further opportunities for skilled professionals seeking to build their future in Canada.
