Newfoundland and Labrador Selects 140 Immigration Candidates

Newfoundland and Labrador has conducted another provincial immigration selection, inviting 140 candidates to move closer to Canadian permanent residence. The August 26 draw included 94 invitations through the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and 46 through the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).

The latest round marked the province’s 12th selection of 2026. Notably, the AIP received its highest number of invitations since March, while the NLPNP recorded its lowest selection total since July 28. The province did not reveal the specific occupations or immigration streams targeted in this draw.

Selected NLPNP candidates can apply for provincial nomination, while AIP candidates proceed with endorsement. Successful applicants can then submit their permanent residence applications to the federal government.
