British Columbia has issued 429 invitations to skilled workers through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) in its 10 September occupation-focused draw. The selections targeted key labour shortages in healthcare, construction, childcare and veterinary care.
The province invited 182 early childhood educators, 143 healthcare workers, 104 construction-trade workers and fewer than five candidates in veterinary occupations. Minimum scores ranged from 76 for healthcare to 99 for childcare.
Selected candidates have 30 days to apply for provincial nomination. Successful nominees can then apply for Canadian permanent residence and may qualify for work-permit support. The latest draw reflects B.C.’s continued focus on attracting workers in essential sectors and addressing labour-market needs across the province.
