Newfoundland and Labrador has invited 57 candidates to apply for provincial immigration through its latest selection round. On July 10, the invitations were issued under the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP). This draw is the province’s eighth immigration draw of 2026.
In the draw, 81.8% of the invitations were issued through the NLPNP, and the remaining candidates were selected through the AIP. This draw issued the smallest invitation in the draws held by the province in 2026, which indicates the province's targeted approach to addressing specific labour market demands.
In 2026 so far, Newfoundland and Labrador has now invited a total of 1,544 candidates for provincial nomination or AIP endorsement.
The regular invitation rounds under the NLPNP and AIP remain important to Newfoundland and Labrador. It is part of the long-term objective of the province to attract skilled professionals and to meet employer needs across various sectors.
