Newfoundland and Labrador Selects 131 Immigration Candidates in Latest Draw

Newfoundland and Labrador has sent invitations to 131 candidates in its latest provincial selection round held on 9th October. The invitations were distributed between two immigration pathways, with the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) accounting for 130 invitations and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) issuing the remaining invitations.

The October selection represents a notable increase compared with the province’s previous draw on September 25, when 41 candidates received invitations. It also brings the province’s total number of invitations issued in 2026 to 2,826.

The NLPNP continues to account for the majority of selections, with 2,430 invitations issued this year. Meanwhile, the AIP has contributed 396 invitations over the same period.

Candidates interested in these pathways must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile. Provincial authorities review the candidate pool and then invite them on the basis of the selection priorities. Receiving an invitation allows candidates to proceed to the next stage of the application process but does not guarantee permanent residence.
