British Columbia has opened another pathway for business-minded immigrants seeking to establish themselves in the province. On September 22, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program issued invitations through its Entrepreneur Immigration category.
A total of at least 10 invitations were issued in the Base Stream, while fewer than five went to candidates under the Regional Stream. Applicants in both categories needed a minimum score of 119 to receive an invitation.
The program is designed for foreign entrepreneurs planning to start a new business or acquire and expand an existing one in British Columbia. Regional applicants must establish their businesses outside Metro Vancouver and meet additional community requirements.
Following the latest selection, the province has issued at least 114 entrepreneur invitations in 2026. Successful nominees can eventually pursue Canadian permanent residence.
