Canada Updates Express Entry Candidate Score Distribution

Canada has released updated figures showing changes in the Express Entry candidate pool between August 3 and August 16 2026. The pool fell by 2,241 candidates; the figures dropped from 229,100 to 226,859 profiles. The biggest declines were recorded among candidates with CRS scores between 351–400 and 501–600. Despite the overall reduction, the number of high-scoring candidates with CRS scores above 600 increased from 19,096 to 20,205.

During the same period, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada conducted four Express Entry draws and issued 8,807 invitations to apply for permanent residence. Through the latest figures, candidates get a clear idea of the competition within the pool and also the importance of having a strong CRS score. The data also reflects recent draws targeting provincial nominees, Canadian Experience Class candidates, French-language speakers and transport occupations.
